Overview
About Me
Actually I’m in Berlin and can host you if you ask in a proper way. But check the calendar!
AND PLEASE: in the last time I received a lot of copy and paste requests - I don´t like that. Please write a more personalized request, at least I want to see my name. Otherwise don´t be surprised not to get an answer. To find my name is the first IQ-Test...COUCHSURFING IS A VERY PERSONAL ISSUE!!!!!
NO PARTY-TOURISM --> if you like to party all night and just are looking for a bed that's okay, but then look for another host.
I want to share my impressions and experiences with as many people as possible. I´d like to bring people together, learn from other people and teach other people.
ABOUT ME
I have two kids and three grandkids now! So I´m a grandfather, which sounds a bit strange in one way, but is cool in another way. I´m still very active when it comes to the terms of traveling.
I like to meet other people, have fun with them, discuss with them, show them my town and - of course - drink a beer with them.
In my spare time I do geocaching, which let me find some more interesting places in Berlin or all over the world.
I like to fly my drone and make some nice videos. The last ones on a 1-year-trip 22/23.
When I travel, I want to come close to the common people, not just with the tourist-staff.
Often I avoid the crowd, but sometimes I´m part of the crowd - as probably all of us.
PHILOSOPHY
I have been one of the first thousand people who crossed the Berlin Wall on 9th november 1989 - that experience changed my life. I lived in two totally different systems and I guess I can compare quite well the different ways of living. The main insight: there is no perfect system!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For me CS is more than just give someone a couch, a bed or a mattress.
It´s also to have some good conversation, do something together, share ideas, play games, have fun and respect the people. That also means being a "good" guest should be natural.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a lot of very good experiences in my house and in different cities around the world. I guess I hosted around 800 or more people in the last 20 years.
