Hey folks, I'm Gordon, my friends call me G.

I have worked in product management for a while and have left my job to go on a career break. I will be travelling and then coming back home to learn coding / programming, and to lead some local initiatives.

You will usually find me running, cycling or getting lost in a good audiobook. I am so laid back and I prefer quiet nights in with a wine, instead of a night out. But I don't mind an occasional dance sometimes. By the way, I'm gay.

In my spare time, I'm a beekeeper and have thousands of bees that produce honey, at the family home. I lead a community action group for safer streets and anti- hooning, and we recently lobbied and secured government funding for camera trials in hotspots.

I love couchsurfing and the idea of being able to travel and having a local friend in the area to experience it with. I couchsurfed a while ago in the US, but lost the account.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new and positive people from around the world. I prefer to stay with hosts that are happy to have a meal, drink or chat together. I recently started hosting when my roommate moved out.

I had also been hosted in the US a few times by some wonderful hosts and looking to repay the favour. I lost the account to an old email, but the memories are not forgotten, like beach sunsets, sharing a houseboat, and eating the best tacos I've ever had.

Music, Movies, and Books

📺 : Im a huge Survivor fan and my favourite comedy series has to be Schitts Creek and Parks and Recreation. I watch Wheel of Fortune nearly everyday and I am a pro.
📚: Im into crime fiction and have read most of the David Baldacci books. I'm slowly moving towards non fiction, motivational and positive books like The Diary of a Ceo.
🎥: So cringe, but I put on Harry Potter for casual viewing. Also, anything with Mila Kunis or Melissa McCarthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

#1 I spent 6 months travelling through the US, with friends and solo. I met truly incredible people and made lifelong friendships.
#2 Downhill bike riding through the villages and rice paddies in Ubud, Bali.
