About Me

*Currently not accepting guests due to the uncertainty of covid-19*

Hi! I'm Maya. I'm a music industry professional and live in the wonderful city of Philadelphia with my husband Sean. I love to meet people, see new places, and explore cities. I am friendly, easygoing, and open to new things- especially anything artsy, unique, or music related. I love dogs so much- my dog's name is Winston and you'll see plenty of him if you stay with us :)

I've travelled around the United States and other countries for both the sake of travel, and for live musicm I love to see different parts of the world and learn how they live. My husband and I love adventure and even got married on New Year's Day at the Grand Canyon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted many touring bands, lots of friends, and a handful of Couchsurfers in my homes and love it. We enjoy hosting and befriending all kinds of people, from bands to backpackers!

I love meeting people and making friends from all over the world; I lived in a hostel for a few months one summer and it reminded me of how great it is to get to know people from different cultures, learn about who they are, what are similarities and differences are, and trade stories and knowledge. One of my absolute best friends is from Poland and she is one of my favorite people in the world- long distance friendships can be great!

Interests

My main interest is live music; I work in and study music, so it's really important in my life! When in my own city or traveling, I love to thrift shop, go to concerts, visit museums, look at contemporary and street art, attend comedy shows, learn local history and culture, go to concerts, play music, and most of all, spend time with my husband, friends, and dog.
