About Me

I dance to the beat of my own drum.

An artist who enjoys dabbling in writing, photography, music, and many other visual mediums. I enjoy beautiful things, old buildings, the seclusion of nature, the freedom of the dance floor. I can be very quiet, but don't worry, I'm usually just thinking of a million things, observing situations, turning over my latest existential crisis.

I love exploring and learning, and have a desire to travel as much as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for travel, a moderate amount of adventure, and a chance to meet new friends. When travelling, I prefer to see the real side of a place, as opposed to anything that could be found in a travel guide, and would much rather have a local perspective of things.

I tend to be a shy, quiet, and socially anxious person by nature. Part of me joining this site is to step out of my boundaries and connect with other people, to learn from others, and share our experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

(this is by no means a comprehensive list)

Music: David Bowie, Bauhaus, Sonic Youth, Cocteau Twins, Virgin Prunes, Tom Waits, The Cure, Southern Death Cult, The Chameleons, The Fall

Movies: Harold and Maude, Brazil, Stranger Than Paradise, Velvet Goldmine, Sunset Boulevard, Frankenstein, Wings of Desire

Books: Maurice, The Picture of Dorian Grey, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, Lost Souls, The Naked Civil Servant

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the middle of the woods with a bunch of hippies for six weeks, while working at a Renaissance festival.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can regale you with trivial bits of historical knowledge, cook a fantastic vegetarian meal, water your plants and cuddle your pets.

I love finding people to talk about deep and interesting things with, such as philosophy, history, art, the greater meaning of the universe and our place within it.

I am also incredibly quiet and clean, and will not totally destroy your house!
