Overview
About Me
A software developer and his botanist itching to see the world. We love to meet people from across the world and experience different cultures. We are open to new experiences and love exploring what the world has to offer. So my wife (Meredith [Mary]), cats, dog and I would love to have you over.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To experience how people live in other parts of the world, by meeting cool people and sharing the experience.
We've found our best travel experiences have always been shared with others. The best way to get to know a country and culture is to live like a local and that is why we love the concept of CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
We both love nature and animals and camping. I love hiking, mountain biking and swimming.
I enjoy Sci-Fi shows whereas Meredith is really into historical dramas.
I'm not a huge reader, but my wife constantly carries a book and is happiest sitting at a coffee shop, reading and people watching.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hot air ballooned in Cappadocia. Parasailed in Vietnam. Slept in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Traveled Europe for 3 months.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach you some Afrikaans, possibly improve your English and share some stories of our travels.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We always have some local snacks. Good company and conversation. Welcome to use our bicycles. Snuggle our cats. Enjoy sitting in our garden.
If we are available we would love to take you to our most beautiful beach or to see the elephants at Addo Elephant Park- a must see in our area.
