Openminded, trusting (until proven otherwise), trustworthy, cheerful, joyful, enthusiastic, talkative BUT good listener as well, heart godmother for people in distress, sharing all that I have and taking care of the luxuries for life will take care of the necessities, Saint Bernard in friendships and penfriendships, faithful, available, deep thinker, meaningful conversations, child at heart, love to teach and playing all kinds of ball games in the Great SandBox of Life...

Animal lover as our family is 2 dogs, 5 cats (3 generations)... and me...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to welcome ANYONE as long as they are open, respectful and in for a sharing experience...
Although I live in a small medieval village, the place is on an ancient pilgrimage trail (Chemin de st Jacques de Compostelle/St James' Way/JacobsWeg) quite close to major cities (Toulouse 85k, Bordeaux 150k, Montauban 25k, Cahors 35k, Agen 60k) I welcome those who want to have a break in the country/small town and willing to show them around treasures hidden in the region...
OR COUCHSURFERS/PILGRIMS ON A STOP &NIGHT OVER AND ALTERNATIVE TO THE GITES/hostels.

Quiet night in or night out... We'll see what mood we're in...

Also getting involved in my local group, willing to organize and be part of local events...

with the involvement of CSers, I wish to create a network of godmothers,(M/F) who wish to sustain through heart felt correspondance inmates, orphans and mental health patients in hospitals. relationships godmother/godson(goddaughter) are through hand written letters. penpals from the heart : welcome...!!!

everything else is Warmth, Care & Sustenance...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One official registered experience so far excellent for 3 days having one New Zealander staying with me for 3 nights... became an excellent friend and came back two years ago on summer holidays...

I have had friends staying with me for weeks at a time, and my childhood was a Couch Surfing experience...
Made me adaptable to all situations, picking up from a glimpse how "things" are working...
Lived with family and friends as well... at times in my life...
Heard no complains, yet..!!

Interests

Personal development, Ancestral Wisdom (especially if made practical in my doings and thinking...), Philosophy (but careful : "knowledge without conscience and awareness is ruin for the Soul...), Volunteer work (distress phone line and suicide prevention, networking "godmother" for unemployed people, inmates, orphans to get them (back) on tracks and bring them (back) self-confidence, autonomy and desire to grow into a great caring individual), working for a better world (as much as I can), corresponding with inmates, orphans. working on setting up workshops in jails, orphanages with caring godmothers (penpals), creative workshops with children and adults through activities, games and languages, "jumpstarter", healing energies, daily creative and practical writing, creative writing workshops (organizing and participating), coloring mandalas, playing in the Great Game of Life, read and learn, write and learn, meet and learn, travel and learn, live and learn...
And share, share, share...

And OF COURSE, in the middle of that, I have/give NO time whatsoever to "sell" my own time hourly (... read : being an employee..) to other "people" who would make "financial" profit out of it or out of me... (where money is concerned...)
I prefer to "walk" with people, being a campanion for our mutual growth (in anything I do...)

Ho!! Check "Joyeux Noël" : a Wonderful French movie where German and French soldiers befriended during WWI on the front line on Xmas eve & Xmas day... A True Story... Heartwarming... BUT hélas, with a lethal end for each one of them...

Although I got hooked on the Da Vinci Code like half the Planet, I do not read novels unless it is mind blowing (for me) like "Replay" for example... Do NOT ask me why but Time travel movies/stories fascinate me... If I told you how many times I watched Back to the Future, (especially part II), you would probably think I am either insane or lying..
Once, I hid in the dark in the hallway one evening when I was about 7 or 8 to be able to watch one movie I begged to watch and was not allowed to (School night!!) : the Time Travel machine/La Machine

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

being born!!!...

Whale watching on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, Walked 3000 kms on the Camino de Santiago/St James' Way/les chemins de St Jacques de Compostelle in Spain and France... Crossed Holland walking, have dinned with a group of people using 6 languages at a time around the table, Meditated on the top of a mountain in Rajasthan (India) with the valley at my feet an eagle passing again and again in front of the sunset, Drove accross Canada (4500K) and discovered in awe the Rocky Mountains (did not find anybody to screw my jaw back on though), Lived for one year on a boat & still sailing, Have made it through 10 Canadian Winters (!!).., helped raised 42 children in 17 years and of course discovered CouchSurfing...

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach English to non native speakers if their skills are rusty or need to freshen up, can also pack a French Survival Kit for them for further travel, able to also do the same thing in Spanish...
a session of LIFE coaching may not be enough to spark a great turn in your life in ONE EVENING in our mutual life... BUT I am a great ignitor of sleeping or forgotten dreams inside people... I know this for facts as it seems to be my lot with what people have to say around me : that is what I see unfolding in front of my eyes and hear from them...
One friend has recently named me Enigma... When I asked why : because you are "TNT for the brain"..!!
LOL : so TO HANDLE WITH CARE...
Practical skill?? Humm... I know how to sew a button..!! Oh yes!! I do know how to make crispy and tasty, fabulous and delicious chips/french fries with ONLY ONE tablespoon of oil..!!
