Alex hasn't surfed himself yet, but has hosted many people. He loves chats and bants with folks from all over the world and is happy to offer travellers a place to crash.

Sara used to surf a lot, but is now too broke to travel, so she'd like to invite the travel vibe into her home instead.

Alex: Indiey, rocky, acousticy mellowy upbeaty types of music stuuuff. I'm a minor superhero and sci-fi nerd, but love films of all genres.

Sara: Die Hard. Alex really likes Die Hard, I'd know. I love all the indie music, especially, Britpop. Cutesy indie films with good soundtracks like 500 Days of Summer or Submarine. And Star Wars. I love Star Wars! Books by Haruki Murakami, Matt Ruff and Rocko Schamoni.

Alex: Lost a fight with a camel. He started it.

Sara: I used to host a radio show, so that was pretty amazing, for me, not for anyone else. But I like to think I'm the next John Peel.

Alex: I can teach you how to forget to play wonderwall on the guitar, and all about how viruses work.

Sara: I love baking and cooking, so I can teach/share recipes. I'm also always eager to learn new vegetarian/vegan dishes. I also speak German, so I could teach you some helpful phrases like: Ein Bier, bitte!
