You can park your car around the univesities. It si free, safe and only 15 minutes walking distance from city center.

I think stade Carcassonne is not totally free anymore, you can park only one hour for free ... You can park in "parking relais", it's something like 2€/day and a bus ticket is include in price, so you can go in the city center easily !
