What are typical options for produce and juice in Angers?

I am traveling to Angers for Austin week in September and teaching a couple cocktail classes. I am wondering what are the normal produce and juices that are readily available to make cocktails out of?

You can find every kind of juices. But if you're looking for something typical and seasonal :

Raisin (grape)
Plums
Peach
Apple
Pear

To buy fruits or fruit juice I recommand this place : "L'épicerie Fine" ( http://lepiceriefine.fr/index.php? ) 39 Rue Saint-Julien, 49100 Angers

Also you'll find a nice outdoor market wednesday and saturday morning place Lafayette where you' ll find nice products.

You can also take a look at some organic shop.

yoooo where is this cocktail class happening ? please god make angers have good cocktails.

As for fruits/juices mid-September, you'll see some apple and pear juices appearing at the markets, but the biggest thing in the region for this season is plums (prunes) - there's all kinds. Mirabelles are a favorite - little yellow, super sweet, juicy, syrupy fruits. And then there's a bunch of other varieties whose names I dont know...

It'll be the end of tomato season, you might find some good grapes too. Oh and fresh hazelnuts, like straight from the tree. Don't know what you could do with them in a cocktail but it'd be tight if you tried :D

Parsnips and Carrots start coming in, if you wanted to try juicing something root-y.

the market that is mentioned above (Place Lafayette) wednesdays and saturday mornings is great. Otherwise, there's also la Biocoop, Boulevard Foch that has good local, organic produce - its just pricier, you know, like whole foods style.
