as you know your salary would depend on how big the company your applying, your position and experience for sure.. And if your asking how much you need, it will also depend if you gonna bring your family here with you or be alone... and if you are a US passport holder , for big companies maybe you can ask a starting salary og 30,000aed and above...

Hello Robin, The living cost in Abu Dhabi is pretty high. Don't be too excited if you get $7-10K per month salary. Normal (acceptable) apartment will cost you around $2-3K a month, +community services (electricity, water, internet, phone etc.) another $500-700. Overall prices are very high, so I would expect salary without allowances (as a lump sum) to be $7-10K p/m. Cheers and good luck!

Different factors you need to concentrate on, accommodation, transportation and location of the company you will work in. The average salary for high skill should be required is $10k, minimum for average quality life is $7k. However the lowest you should accept is $4k.
