Yes you can get there easily, by taking the train from Bolzano Stazione to Fortezza, then another train from Fortezza to Villabassa-Braies and then a bus from Villabassa to Lago di Braies-S.Vito, where you will have a 2 km walk and you reach the Braies Lake (there is a bus stop at the lake as well, but is served only starting from May or June).
