Post in Burkina Faso

Hi mates !

A message to share please 🥁 Need a little boost for a cultural and social project in Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, the country of the well-known Thomas Sankara. This message is for the traveler, the artist and the dreamer in all of us. If our roads cross here it means that you love Africa as much as me or that you are keen on travelling, world music or by exchanges and dialogue of cultures, with the desire to contribute to a world of peace, more beautiful, more egalitarian.

In the image of the dynamism of the city of Bobo-Dioulasso where I've been traveliing last december for a drum workshop, the country although "poor" prey to violence is rich actually, strong of the generosity of its inhabitants, its cultural heritage, its youth! Young people with high potential who only need a little help to make their projects a reality.

Linked with my travel, I've launched a crowdfunding campaign for the Peaux-Bois-Aide association for the promotion of the cultural heritage and social inclusion of the youth of the city of Bobo. There are only 40 days left to contribute. The association is already active and leads workshops for young people of Bobo, since its creation in 2010.

Here are the photos of my trip. I am nourished by the memory of the beautiful encounters I had there, the richness of the experiences I've lived there and the beauty of its landscapes. This country in West Africa, a country of upright men, really deserves to be looked into, no matter what the media say, it is so rich in its history, its culture, its colors, its human warmth. Music is the inexhaustible source of this beautiful country. As a djembefola in training, I really enjoyed myself. This is not my first trip to Africa and yet, my passage in this country in the city of Bobo-Dioulasso, although brief, turned me upside down. I literally fell in love with the country. It will take me a few weeks to land.

Used to responsible backpacking trips and off the beaten track, this time I want to contribute and not just “pass” six years after my first trip, my Alter-Native Trip project six months solo in India, Nepal, Australia and Jamaica), with a few more gray hairs and a few more countries visited since then (Congo, Ethiopia, etc.).

A partager SVP 🥁Un petit coup de pouce pour un projet culturel et solidaire au Burkina 🇧🇫, pays des hommes intègres de Thomas Sankara ? Ce message s’adresse au voyageur, à l’artiste et au rêveur qui sommeille en vous. Si nos routes se croient ici sur Facebook c’est vous êtes tout comme amoureux ou amoureuse de l’Afrique, passionné.e de solidarité, par les voyages, les musiques du mondes ou par les échanges et le dialogue des cultures, avec l’envie de contribuer à un monde de paix, plus beau, plus égalitaire.

Je suis tout juste rentrée il y a tout d’un voyage chez l’habitant au Burkina Faso dans le cadre d’un stage de percussion. Je suis nourrie du souvenir des belles rencontres que j’y ai faites, de la richesse des expériences que j’y ai vécu et de la beauté de ses paysages. Ce pays mérite vraiment qu'on s'y attarde, qu’on le soutienne tant il est riche par son histoire, sa culture, ses couleurs, sa chaleur humaine. La musique est la sève inépuisable de beau pays. Je suis littéralement tombée amoureuse de ce pays !

A l’image du dynamisme de la ville de Bobo-Dioulasso, le pays quoique « pauvre » en proie à la violence est surtout riche de la générosité de ses habitants et habitantes, de son patrimoine, de sa culture, de sa jeunesse ! Une jeunesse au haut potentiel qui ne demande qu’un coup de pouce pour concrétiser ses projets.

Je poursuis ma collecte pour l’association Peaux-Bois-Aide pour la promotion de l’héritage culturel et à l’insertion sociale de la jeunesse de la ville de Bobo. Il est reste moins de 40 jours pour contribuer. L’association des déjà active et mène depuis sa création en 2010, des ateliers à destination des jeunes de Bobo.
