Imece Evi - (Collectivity House) - Natural Life and Ecological Solutions Village in Turkey Izmir

Imece Evi started its “Ecologic Village” project on Kazdağı (İda Mountains) in 2007 based on the rules of ecology and intercultural peace and built on his claim of “Another World is Possible”. Until 2010 it gained a lot of experience in its rental premisses by the coast. Starting from 2011, Imece Evi has been moving to its own land on the mountain Dumanlı. ( İzmir-Menemen,Turgutlar village)

It is now a self-contained organisation which, by the help of its implementations and ecologic solutions, has already proved that “a life in harmony with nature” is possible, and its expenses on the things provided by the external resources gradually get less.

All experiences gained through the time has been shared with the participants all over the world, and as of 2011 Natural Agriculture Method by Fukuoka-san has been given the priority to be used in its own lands while the philosophy and the results are debated with the volunteers.

Permaculture, Biodynamic Applications and Traditional Culture have always been considered in all applications, and the experiences gained have always been shared with the participants.

Visits: Being a volunteer can be explained as people getting responsibilities with their own free will. We all do many things voluntarily at home, at school, at the work-place and in the society or the environment we live. Our ethical beliefs make us help the others as much as we can and even sacrifice our own comfort. The benefits of being a volunteer can be listed as learning new things, gaining new skills, meeting new people and the happiness of providing unconditional help with the subjects parallel to our own targets in life. İmece Evi, as a civil initiative and an ecologic village project targeting to be self-contained, has always been getting help of local and foreign volunteers sensitive to ecologic issues. By this opportunity, we would once more like to thank all volunteers who have worked directly for İmece Evi or for its goals to be achieved, and/or

Is this thing still alive?

Any activities in IE in September?

I'll spent all september in Izmir, most probably trying to visit my beloved Imece Evi. Anybody has any info about community plans for that period?
