transportation from Gambir railway station to Kuningan city malll
Hi , Next 8 Feb I will go for applying visa to Netherland. I've got an appointment letter to come to VFS, the Cenral Schengen Visa office in Kuningan City mall ( Jl. dr. Satrio ). I will go from Jogja by train. Any advice how can I reach that place from Gambir railway station ? And cheap hotel nearby? All advice will be appreciated. Thx a lot for asisstance

Dear Tria, Since the route is congested route on weekdays and Kuningan city area is the most congested area almost throughout the day whether weekend or weekdays. I suggest to use Uber motor/ Grabbike/Gojek( if you have android smartphone) For accomodation, since this area is central business district, the cheapest hotel might be Amaris but it's more than 500k per night, there' re some kost-kost an which can be rented daily, you might want to check them out in traveloka. I trust you've got the visa!

Dear Tria, From the station gambir I have 2 solution :
you can continue to use train until (st.gambir, gondang dia, cikini, manggarai, tebet) stasiun tebet may be 15 minute. From tebet you can use gojek/grab (10 - 15 minute) or mikrolet 41 (15 - 30 minute)
From stasiun gambir directly use gojek/grab may be 45 - 60 minute
For hotel you can searching in agoda

If u arrive on weekdays at rush hours u might want to consider taking the gojek directly from Gambir. I am afraid the commuter line doesnt stop at Gambir anymore so u cant really take local train from Gambir cmiiw. For budget hotel I'd highly recommend u to check zenrooms. they have great offer with an outstanding facilities and services. HTH and good luck with the visa

Zenroom has some options, they have some in Setiabudi and other parts near Kuningan. Since I like walking so much to me from Setiabudi to Kuningan citu isnt far. But again there is always Gojek, so no place that far lol. Zenroom has an apps. if u book today it runs a promotion for Chinese New Year 30% all rooms no min tranx..btw I am not the marketing officer of Zen. Just a customer who happens to be so much impressed by their services. HTH
Hi Friend, I think you should try to use "Grab" or Gojek or Uber you can download in play store or apple store and use it to find your final destination I think it easy to use, just tell the driver where will he pick up you and tell your final destination on the application, Good Luck ! Tria Di tempat ku Hotel nya murah, coba check Reddoorz petojo, pake booking.com aja. Klo mau ke kuningan ama gambir enakan naek gojek, anti macet dan simple

Hi Tria, Theres no direct bus or train to kuningan City from Gambir. The easiest way is get a gojek if you backpacking or get a grab car if you bring suitcase. Its only approximately 20 mins, by gojek not far (except on rush hour). And for Accomodation, "Redoorz Karet Pedurenan 2" is cheap, and you can walk from Kuningan City Mall to the hotels. Try call them first and ask the price if you book straight to them, if more expensive try booking.com. Sometime I got cheaper than booking.com by walk into it. You can get the hotel number from google. Happy travel girl :)

Everyone here has great advice. As for places to stay, for a single woman I would suggest a franchise hotel like F1 in Menteng or a nice business hotel the Rasuna Icon. Although there are a lot of places all over Kuningan, they are boarding houses (kost) that usually rent by the month (around 3 million to 7 million Rp.). I currently live in one. I suggest you take:
Grabbike/gojek/ubermotor. Cheapest way, especially if you go during rush hours.
An alternative is you cross the road from Gambir Station to the bus stop in front of GPIB Immanuel Church and wait for the P20 Kopaja (with or without AC). Take the Kopaja and stop under the Kp Melayu-Karet flyover (ask the driver to stop you there) and cross the road & walk to Kuningan City. Might be a bit dangerous if you're not familiar with how the public buses here work...

i hope i can hel u with my advice.. from gambir.. u can use busway...there is a lot of option..like other say above salah satunya dari gambir to monas or harmoni..then change to blok m... get down at karet shelter.. then from that u can use angkot to kampung melayu..and turun di dpn kuningan city / or using busway pengumpan dri karet to tebet..or using ojek online...
im also going to kuningan city at afternoon..and at the night go to mega kuningan..for an event there..
if u need a host for u stay .. maybe i can ask my cs friend who live near kuningan... i also can host u.. but better if u got female host..
here some cheap hostel near kuningan city. or u can go to amaris hotel infront of kuningan city
