What's the best option to get from Park Station to the Airoport? I'll arrive at dawn. How is the situation safety-wise?

Gautrain, answered edited as answer below mine is better.
2nd best bet is uber. Or a metered cab.

Probably the easiest is to simply take the Gautrain to Oliver Tambo airport. It goes there directly from Park Station. Here's the timetable

It opens at around 5am, so you shouldn't have a problem at the time you get there.

Yes. Change train at Sandton City.
You need to go down one level and take the train to the airport.
Gau Train is great! Uber is good for anywhere but, except for park station, since there is a bit of conflict between the meter taxis (very expensive) and the user drivers.. so I really recommend Gau Train. Inside park station is pretty safe
As far as safety is concerned. Keep your luggage within hand grip distance. Do not allow anyone to take your luggage with a view to assist you. There is fierce fighting between taxi's and you could by fleeced. Walk to Rotondo, bus terminal, and go inside. Get advice inside. If you your timetable is good for, go direct to Gautrain platform. Do not take a metered taxi unless you are a South African and know the route. They could take you on a route double the distance. If you take a metered taxi take one with a high value vehicle belonging to ROSES taxi company. Discuss the drop off price before you put your luggage in the car. Do not pay with Dollars, you will be a target. Do not open your purse where others can see whats in it. Be careful at ATM's with card swapping. Have a safe trip
Definitely Gautrain. Its pretty safe, just keep your luggage close, under your chair or where you can see it.

Why will you be at Park Station in the city? It is not advisable to hang out around this area. Where are you arriving from at dawn and with what transport?

I am wondering where you are arriving from to end up at Park Station. Are you using a long distance bus that stops at Park Station? From Park Station to O R Tambo International Airport, your best option is to use the Gautrain. It is safe and will take you straight to the airport.
From Park Station the train will go through Rosebank, then Sandton, and at Sandton, it will probably be announced over the Public Address system that passengers going to the airport should change trains. You will probably need to disembark (no need to worry, you will still be safe within the sandton gautrain) and change train.

Agree with above question, preferable to get dropped off at Sandton, from there the Gautrain goes direct to ORT. Avoid going to Park Station at all costs, not safe, you shall be targeted.
