Wanting to explore the nature around Karlsruhe

Hello! I am Erin from Canada and I love hiking and would love to explore the nature accessible to Karlsruhe. I don't have a driver's license yet but definitely plan to get one and until then would love to learn about nice places to walk accessible by public transport. And if anyone would like to join me I am free practically every afternoon :-)

Hi!! Wow this is such a great response. These days are so hot so I feel more like swimming in the lake but as soon as it cools down a bit I am so excited for hiking! And I am now a part of the hiking Whatsapp group, thanks to everyone =)

Hi Erin , I live in Buhl , which are 10 minutes away by car from the Black Forest . There you'll find a dam and beautiful hiking trails . If you want a trip there , let me know.

Hi Emma, not far away from Karlsruhe is the Palatinate Forest (Pfälzer Wald) and there is a lot to see. Especially a lot of old castles like Trifels, Landeck, Bewartstein, Madenburg. And of course most of them have hiking trails too. :)

Hello Erin, Emma and the others interested

i live a bit out of Karlsruhe right at the "Entrance to the Black Forest" - We got beautiful nature around here and many places to visit (The old Castle in Baden Baden to give an example or Bad Wildbad) - in case you are interested - many of the places should be accessible by public transport from Karlsruhe! Or, if you got time on the weekends, me and my friends wouldnt mind you joining us on one of our weekend hiking trips
