To put it out there for future travelers to LP, Liquids & Solids is a great place to eat, locally sourced ingredients and menu changes with the seasons! Hiking options are varied. Small: Baker in Saranac Lake, Mt Jo from the ADK lodge, Owl's head in the Cascade Lake section before Keene, Rooster Comb near Keene, Mt Arab and Coney in Tupper Lake. Medium: Pitchoff, Noonmark (middle of high peaks without being quite as tall), Ampersand, St Regis, Van Hovenberg. Large: Algonquin, Cascade (gets really crowded), Whiteface (seasonal option to drive up or be picked up at the top), Giant/Rocky Peak Ridge, Big Slide, and many other fantastic options depending on weather and available time/experience/equipment.

Sights: Ski Jumps, Miracle on Ice facility, Wild Center (Tupper Lake NY), Adirondack Museum (Blue Mountain Lake NY), drive up Whiteface Mt (seasonal) or downhill ski in the winter, LPCA (Lake Placid Center for the Arts).
