Let's Do It! World Cleanup 2012 conference in January!
From 13th – 15th January 2012, the Let’s Do It! World team will be holding another international conference in the Estonian capital Tallinn. This year, we are expecting representatives from up to 100 participating countries from all over the world! The representatives are preparing their regions to take part in the series of cleanups that will sweep the globe between 24th March and 25th September 2012.
Why do we want to meet? The aim of the conference that precedes this incredible time is to share ideas, knowledge and experiences about how to organise such large-scale cleaning actions. It will also be a place to discuss any potential difficulties and find the solutions together. Most importantly, the conference will be a place to bring together teams from around the world; a place to form networks of wonderful people and organisations to rely on over the course of the coming year. It is to show you that you are not alone in this major initiative, that you have the support of all these other teams of people, to keep you going and share all the joy with. We wish to meet you very much and to connect you with all the other wonderful people who are working towards a cleaner Planet. Together we can clean the world in the year 2012!
Want to join? If your country does not yet have a Let’s Do It! Team, but you wish to be a part of this unique movement, then you can still join – create a team. Register yourself at www.letsdoitworld.org and come to the conference with someone else from your team to get lots of know-how and positive emotions!
Magical Tallinn as a meeting point Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is a diverse and enchanting city, you can take a look yourself: www.tourism.tallinn.ee/eng. We are especially proud of our Old Town. When it is covered in thick white snow and lit up in different lights, it is truly a fairy-tale sight worth seeing for yourself. Estonia more generally offers a similarly incredible view with its snow-covered evergreen forests and numerous mansions in the open countryside fields This otherworldly atmosphere, however, will be even more magical when combined with other special parts of the world. Therefore, we would like our delegates to bring with them a piece of their culture or a symbol of their land – a national costume, a special food, a photo, some music, even just a smile characterising your country – so that we can all share and celebrate, in the cold but beautiful Estonian winter, all the riches of the different world cultures that will come together at this inspirational conference. See you in Tallinn! Let’s Do It! World team
