How to find a cabin into the fiordland?

I am searching for a place I could live for several months into New Zealand Fiord lands: to read, to write, to live... It could be anything: a tracker shelter, a trailer, a hunting lodge, a boat…having access to unsalted water and a stove would be ideal. If anyone knows (or knows someone that knows) the off tracks of the fiord lands, I would be extremely grateful, if you could put me in touch… I am planning of coming to one of the fiord lands towns and start my explorations from there until I find the right place. Hey Matthieu ! That sounds like a wonderful plan ! As i traveled for 12 Months in NZ and lived in Te Anau for a couple of months, I would recommend you to go on Facebook and join a local Facebook Group, like "Te Anau buy and sell" or"Acation in Te Anau " and ask Locals. I know some of them have little shelters in the middle of nowhere close to Milford Sound. Otherwise just go to a Department of Conservation and ask them. I do not know exactly what you imagine but an easier option would be to go to a Hut and live there for a while. If you want that may ask the DOC if you could volunteer there for a while, like maintaining the huts and the tracks. It is not even that expensive i think i is 100 Dollars for several months for a hut pass ! I hope i could help you a little bit.
