If you bring a bike or want to go for a long walk without vehicle traffic, I highly recommend the Sioux Falls Greenway Bike Trail. The south and east side are wooded with pockets of parks, the entire Greenway follows the Big Sioux River.

If you want to get further from people, there are the nearby state parks with walking trails. For a small fee you can visit Newton Hills, Big Sioux Rec Area, and Lake Alvin (there are others). There is also Beaver Creek for no charge.

Then there's the typical of going to various bars and such. The food options are amazing throughout the city.
