How can I travel from Krakow to Orava barrier lake by public transportation?

Hello everyone! My friend and I want to travel from Krakow to Orava barrier lake (maybe Námestovo/Okres) but we don't have a car. Is there any public transportation like a bus? Or is it easy to hitchhike? Thanks in advance! Lotta :)

Hey Charlotte! You have basically two options. You should either try to find a connection from Krakow either to Zakopane or Jablonka and hitchhike from there, or take a bus from Krakow airport to Dolný Kubín and another bus from there straight to Námestovo. Look it up on this webpage www.cp.sk ... Hope you will enjoy staying in here! I would recommend you to visit Orava castle ass well, just get off the bus in Oravský Podzámok.

Hi Charlotte, u can also try this car company www.prepravaletisko-krakow-katowice.sk You can write them on this email www.luciasediva6@gmail.com and they can take u straight by car from Krakow to the Orava lake. It should be around 50e, and it is really worth to see the Orava castle too as Michal recommended. Have a nice trip! V.

Hi Lotta, you can také bus to Tvrdošín. It is 15km to Námestovo. There are buses, just say Námestovo or you can try to hitchhike. It is safe. Enjoy staying. If you need something, just write me.

Btw, I was passing Chemnitz lake in this month. The Orava dam is no so much big :)
