Rentals/Jobs/$ for coastal areas

Hi, I am in Utah currently and am considering moving to coastal areas of Oregon.. Any hints or links I can be directed to for rentals / jobs/ living coasts, etc for the coastal areas? What are the better places for employment? Unless I visit to explore I am doing what I can to research ahead of time.. Oregon looks like alot of areas in Australia I used to live at.

Visiting! And PureWaterJoy

Hello everyone!

I have been wanting to visit and explore Oregon FOREVER! Finally I am able to! I am headed out there from Aug 11th to Aug 16th. I'm not entirely sure where I will be wandering (other than eating all the vegan food I possibly can in Portland at some point during the trip) but I wanted to put this out there in case anyone had some ideas of where I can start planning a route.

I'm visiting to explore, but also because I am deeply passionate about helping people/animals and my current project is embarking on a major fundraising campaign to buy a drill in order to drill wells all over Western Tanzania (and beyond!), where I lived for a couple years. I have talks about it scheduled in my home state in Colorado, and one in Woodland Washingon, and I want to add Oregon into the mix too if I can!

I seem to have struck out with rotary clubs in the area there. They either don't have fundraising presentations, or they are already booked or I didn't get an answer. I have a talk scheduled in Colorado at a climbing gym of all places (!) so I thought I would reach out here to see if anyone knows of any community space like that or libraries or anything really that would be willing to have me talk about the subject at hand! It doesn't have to be in Portland, it can be anywhere in Oregon, though traveling far south may be difficult (which bums me out, because it sounds like Bend and Ashland etc are my type of places!), but still respond anyway regardless of where you are located if you know of anything!
