Good beaches are around 3 hrs away from Manila. One suggestion is you can take the opportunity to watch some sports events since the Philippines is currently hosting the SEA Games. Another nearby option is to take a guided tour in intramuros and learn about our country's past then end your day looking at the Manila Bay sunset, which is always awesome.

You might want to have a nice day trip in Tagaytay to see the volcano within a volcano. You can take a boat up and trek up Taal or ride a horse. The area has a lot of nice coffee shops and restaurants. The local delicacy is Bulalo which is an anti-aging soup (lots of collagen).

If you wish to go spelunking, Cavinti Laguna can be the place to go to or Madlum Cave in San Miguel Bulacan.
