Quality of life at Seymour,IN? (crime rate, discrimination, health etc.)

Because of work, we have to move there and start a new life, find a house and all that. How's life in general? any recommendation?

Seymour has its problems, but it’s perfectly safe and surprisingly diverse. There are a lot of Hispanic families for a small city in Indiana. I wouldn’t wander around late at night just in case, but I’m in Seymour all the time. I’m originally from San Antonio and I feel like I’ve got a good grasp on what is and isn’t safe. Now I live in Scottsburg just south of Seymour and I can honestly say it’s a decent town with friendly people, but I’d advise you to avoid Brownstown and Austin Indiana.
