Hi... I swim all year in Toulon. .. it depend of you ? Cold is in your mind 😉 and if you like you can use a wetsuit. .. (I dont)... but you have to try. .. swimming in the mediterranean see in falls is great. . The water is so clean and the color is whaouuuuu. .. 😉😍 On a sunny day without wind the feeling température can rich the 28 (under the sun) and the see about 18 degrese. .. and at least the water température does not go below 12 all year long... 😊 Enjoy... Daria, I suppose that you maybe come in October in Toulon?! Personnaly, I don't swin in fall... or at least not a long time! Most of time, there are wind at this period so water can be cold due to wind moving the water. But as others said, the water is very pure and clear, and you can enjoy beaches without any tourist! There are also "bain de l'an" as new year bath, I did it twice so I can say it is good water :-P And sure that a russian would enjoy!
Anyway don't worry, you still have lot of places and beaches to enjoy. Do you like walking and hiking?
Sure you can ! Depending the weather and the year, the sea can be between 17 and 22 °C in the begenning of october. Some places are cold even in the summer like in Calanques de Cassis but for the main of french riviera, temperature is still nice in october 😎🤙
