meeting musicians on our way to tunceli arround 24/26 mai
Hello :) !! My wife Anne (from Germany) and me (from France), are delighted to come for a trip through Turkey. The aim of our trip is : - to record people singing a song or playing music (traditional or not, but all acoustic) which matters for their life/their personal story, or for the importance of their culture. So we would like to meet musicians or non musicians who want to share! We would also be happy to share music jam sessions and play together! - We want to discover the true beauty of your country.. We will pass a couple of big cities, but tinier places and village interest us a lot. We also want to explore the beautiful nature of your country, and wild camp there! - As an instrument maker, I’m very interested into discovering traditional instruments, people who play them, but also people who build them - We are also very much interested into the incredible ornaments which covers the ancients buildings ... - And of course we want to meet really nice persons!!
It would be wonderful if you can host us on our way, but we would also be very happy if you want to help us to find what we are looking for… it can be by - telling us about a place that we should see or visit, or - to tell us the most amazing place to plant a tent for a night - to make us visit the city/village you live, or - inviting your friends for an evening together to share music, songs or stories, or also - Bringing us in your very lost family village to show us on a walk the beautiful nature, or to meet someone special you think we should meet… - To help us with translation to discuss with a very old person who would like to share a song - To present us to a local band, or choir… - or any other idea you have!
Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of time: only two and a half weeks to cross your country from Istanbul to Georgia, passing a couple of days in Tunceli. This is not a funded project, but something we want to do for our self and meet amazing people and culture. We are very excited to meet you and your country very soon! And we hope to hear from you ;)
