Any Hosts Out There?!
Hello Vladivostok!
My wife and I are starting our Trans-Siberian adventure this October, and we’re beyond excited to begin in the Russian Far East. We’ve read about the Amur River, the history of this region, and even the stories of the Haenyeo divers from South Korea who once came up to Russia. So in a way, we’ve heard about Vladivostok for years—and now we finally get to see it ourselves.
A bit about us: 📸 I’m a photography nut with a soft spot for urban exploration (the quirkier the corner, the better!). 🍲 We both love food in all its forms—street snacks, family recipes, or trying to cook something questionable but tasty together. 🌍 We’ve collected plenty of travel stories (and misadventures) along the way, and we’re always up for sharing them over tea, beer, or whatever’s on the table.
We’d love to connect with locals, explore the city, and learn more about life in the Far East. In exchange, we can cook a meal, swap stories, and hopefully leave you with good memories and maybe a few photos worth keeping.
If you’ve got tips on where to find the best bites, hidden spots, or even how to navigate the mysterious world of SIM cards and MIR cards, we’d be grateful.
Looking forward to meeting some new friends in Vladivostok!
