April is a good time to visit Yellowstone?

Hi Im Carlos from Spain and I'm planning my next trip to USA and I would like to know how is the weather in April and if its possible to visit Yellowstone or is very complicated for the snow in the path...

Hi Carlos! I don't know if you already have an answer to your question elsewhere, but I will give you my thoughts--the answer is yes and no. Yellowstone is a very big park, so some areas may be clear by then while others might not. Speaking from the Montana side of things, there's still snow in April. It usually stops snowing by mid-May, but even then there will still be some snow and possible road closures until most of it melts closer to June. I personally recommend visiting the park in May but BEFORE Memorial Day weekend (at the end of the month)--that's the beginning of crazy tourist season! If you can only go in April, I recommend to check with the National Park Service before for the most reliable news on weather/road conditions in the park. There has been a lot of road works near the north side of the park this year, so there will probably be more construction in 2019 as well. Buena suerte!
