In York for few weeks

Moving to York, seeking short term or long term accommodation

On Aug 14 I will be starting a new job in York, so I am hoping to find a place to live by then. Spareroom is proving quite competitive with few options available, so I thought I'd put some feelers out on here to see if anyone knows of any room shares available.

If I don't manage to find a place by the 14th, I thought I would see if any hosts would be willing to have me for a week or two (or whatever works) just so I have some time to look for a place. Thanks everyone!

Upcoming odessey throughout the UK and Ireland

Hello York!

This post thread is set incredibly far in advance, though I figured it wasn't a bad idea to network about a bit already :). The following summer, I have a huge trip planned that spans practically the entire Great Britain (except for Wales, sadly). One of the 14 cities I plan on staying at is York, being the third stay, having come from Cambridge, to later go to Edinburgh. It will be my first (actual) time visiting both the UK and Ireland, which I find very exciting. I would greatly appreciate it if any of you could give me any useful tips on my stay in York. It would be even greater to find potential hosts, though I fully understand such far plans are difficult to set already. Currently, I will gladly settle for the "maybe" stage :). I intend to stay for 2 nights, between 22-7 and 24-7. I am eager to hear from you and to visit the city!

Visiting York and looking for a host on 22nd and 23rd
