Hi, Is Zamboanga city now a safe place to visit as a "white" tourist?

According to travel advisories from all European countries, traveling to Western Mindanao incl Zamboanga city is extremely dangerous. What is your opinion on that?

I think that is one of the misconceptions that the media instill to the people, if we wanted to look at it in a broader aspect, all cities have its own discrepancies as to tragedies and all. I am a local of Zamboanga and I think it's best to promote to white peopl like you to come and visit, in every travels that we do, we should always take extra care. You may visit vlogs on YT how other foreigns enjoy their stay here and it is absolutely fun for sure. God bless and more power!

Being cautious is good but Zamboanga City is generally a safe place. It is safe for tourists (of any skin color or race) to visit tourist spots like Santa Cruz island.

Yes Zamboanga City is a very safe City now in Mindanao, Philippines, infact there's even white and asian tourists visited our city just to see amd witness the beauty Zamboanga City, like the Great Sta.Cruz island which you can play on the pink sand and swim to the crystallized water of the island, and as well as the amazing flavourful local delicacies that you can only experience in Zamboang City.
