Security Update on Gaziantep and Area

Dear All, I am travelling with my gf from Cyprus via Turkey by train to Iran and i would like to ask for some security update for Gaziantep and the area around. I tend not to believe the news and for this reason i am asking here. A possible route to take would be Mersin - Adana - Gaziantep - Diyarbakir - Van Any advice would be highly appreciated

Hey mate! We may say it is not dangerous nowadays.. tempers have flared in the city several times in the past few years. But it's relatively calm now. As locals we are feeling safe at least. Have a good trip.

Your route seems safe! But you may have some security check by police while your trip after Gaziantep to Diyarbakır.
