Free parking in Gothenburg?
Hi guys, I have a question about free parking in Gothenburg... I need find free parking for few days (14-17.11.) The best should be near bus station Utlandagatan... Can someone help me? Thanks ;) L.

The closest free parking in Göteborg is at Delsjömotet behind the bus station. But its free for only 24h. So you will have to go and move it a meter every 24h. By bus is 5 minutes from korsvagen.
Free parking spots in Göteborg are as rare as Golden Oreos in a Swedish grocery store (they don't really exist). I just asked my friend who lives near Utlandagatan, and he's pretty sure that's a difficult thing to find. If you're lucky, some couchsurfer has an open paid parking spot for those days...
I do think there are places with free parking. If I am not misstaking there are at least two of them close to where I stay myself - and that is not far away from the center of the city. Some time ago I managed, by means of writing to the town hall, to get some valuable information for a couchsurfer who was visiting Gothenburg in a camping car. However, when I now looked for the e-mail I then had from the town hall, I couldn´t find it. Hence I have now written again to get the same or similar information. I´ll get back to you when I have their answer. Cheers!

Hi! I live at Utlandagatan. There is a crossing street here called Övre Buråsliden, and on this street between Utlandagatan and Nedre Buråsliden you have free parking on one side. On weekdays before people get off work you should be able to get a spot here. On a Saturday it will be harder, but possible. Fredriksdalsgatan is another street not far from here that has free parking all along one side, and it's much easier to find space there.
There is a free parking near tramstop Bögatan close to Delsjön in the residential area on the left side. Not sure if it is free for more than 24h or so, but I always park there when I take a hike around Delsjön.
Otherwise you'll have to drive to the outside of town and park in a pendelparkering, commuter-park. For example in Kållered, Lindome etc. They are all close to the commutertrain stop.
