Tripinsiders is a new P2P travel buddy app. It started in Asia, but it's just begun a test launch in Victoria. Basically, it's a platform for users to create unique travel experiences , promote them to paying customers, and manage bookings (many people describe it as "the Airbnb of tour guides"). The idea is that travelers get to meet locals and share real-life experiences with them.
It's a paid service - Insiders set a price for their trips based on how much time and value they invest. Users book and pay for trips through the app using PayPal or credit card.
Trips can be anything from walking tours, bike trips, shopping guides and food tours to cooking, archery lessons, wild food foraging, outdoor yoga, art lessons, and other DIY experiences - whatever you're into.
