Taxi is too expensive. Is there any way to use public transportation?

Not sure if you are trying deliberately to confuse her, but she clearly mentioned Vatry Aiport. Your comments only work for Paris Orly and Paris Charles de Gaulle. Vatry Airport isn't even in Île-de-France.

Both Beauvais and Vatry are a scam. The navettes cost a bomb, and it's definitely too far to be called Paris. It's like we had a Paris-Dijon, Paris-Dole, and why not a Paris-Heathrow or Paris-Gatewick by Eurostar? If anything can be called Paris, soon we'll have Paris-Notre-Dame-des-Landes

Thank you all for your comments. I have booked another flight which is from Beauvais because getting to Vatry would cost me more than a new ticket to Portugal :D

In my opinion the best way to book tickets is SoBus : http://www.sobus.fr They have the direct shuttle, but also car-sharing of Blablacar, plus other cheap bus / train tickets.
