There Are a few groups out there, not many members and the responses to questions are few and far between. When i set out on my Trans Siberian/Mongolian trip i found it very hard to work out trains and visas as information on the internet is usually half finished or incorrect, and it is easy to get confused, after taking three books with me i found these to be most unhelpful too - the Lonely planet being the worst and ending up getting thrown in the bin after i discovered yet another incorrect map. I have just finished traveling and have spent some time trying to help people out with there questions on the route and hints and trips and have now decided to create a group of my own. i promise to give a answer from my experiences as soon as i pick up a message. 2022 July/august One month long Tran Siberian Route Russia-Mongolia and bit of China

Hi,

I’m trying to get more info regarding this trip. Any help, links , info will all be appreciated. I want to hop on and off the train to explore the countries more. I read somewhere it can be done if I buy Tkt through a travel agent. Any ideas? Suggestions? Any places that I should not miss in this route. I love outdoor activities , art, culture, food, national parks, rock climbing. Please suggest, I’m trying to make my itinerary. Also is it safe for solo female traveler? I might have friends joining for some parts.

Stuck at Manzhouli/Zabajkalsk

Hello, I took trans-siberian to Zabajkalsk, but there was a problem with visa date - I came too early so they returned me back to China. Can someone advise me how to move forward from Manzhouli/Zabajkalsk to Moscow? I'm stuck here. Bus, train, from where to where? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Looking for travel buddies for Trans- Siberian Summer 2019! (July- August or August-September

hi there! I am an enthusiast musician, dance-lover and researcher-documentarist-at-heart looking for travel mates for Trans-Siberian for next summer! Big plus if you can some russian, but not prob! Me neither.

Im planning the trip with low budget of course and hopefully some stopovers to discover something much more specific than just sitting in train.

We could alternatively continue to Mongolia or even down to China and from there even further. It all depends on the time, budget and perhaps main interests. Getting "back" from Asia could be part of the travel plan.

I'm looking for travel buddies or anyone who would like to share their trips with me.
I heard there is 50% discount for the train tickets (one week before and after birthday). Is it true? What are the terms and conditions? How can I get it?
I'm planning to hitchhike from Novosibirsk to Irkutsk and from Ulan Ude to UlaanBaatar in order to save costs. Is it possible? Any advise? Is there any other cheaper way?

Trans Siberian Adventure PLANNING

Hi Folks,

I am in the very early stages of planning my Trans Siberian Adventure for July 2017.

I have viewed all the CS Groups and posts, but don't seem to find much information on the experience.

I have made contact with a couple of members who I assume have now completed their journey... so hope to have some tips and advice returned.
