Hello guys:) My and my friends just move to the NJ. We are working on this area as lifeguards. We would love meet some local people which should show as some nice places here or in New York or give as some good advices what to do here:p

My friend lives in the same county where the balloon festival is taking place, and a balloon recently landed on her front lawn.

The best way to really take in NYC is to walk around, or maybe bike it! So many interesting things to see and do in so many neighborhoods - SoHo, Tribeca, The Villages (East, West, Greenwich) etc etc.

I live in the city and don't get out at all to NJ so can't address that, but you can always attend couchsurfing events and check out eventbrite.com for events goin on in NYC. Rent a bike at http://www.getupandride.com/ and they'll also give you handy guides on what to see.

I'd also be happy to meet up and show you guys around one of these days, if you find yourself in the city. I live in Murray Hill.
