To bring a "Fellowship" of CSers together, to enjoy varying activities including the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and whatever else the local area can provide (Lake Taupo, Huka Falls, Tukaanu plus Spa Road Thermal and bathing area) Why is it happening? This event has been running on the Auckland Anniversary weekend for the past 10 years and the organisers can't seem to get enough so making it happen again for 2018! Who is invited? YOU and any friends and family you care to bring along. Where is it? Accommodation will be at the Turangi Holiday Park. Cost for the cabins are $26 per person per night, and $35 return for the bus to the track. Things you should bring: - Sunscreen!!!! Even with light cloud cover, you can be sure to get burnt (chap stick/lip balm also handy) - Tent, bedding and whatever else that will give you a good nights sleep. - Togs (Bikini, trunks, speedos, whatever you swim in) & towel - 4 season hiking gear (including proper footwear) - weather is very changeable on the mountain so being prepared with layers, up to a good rain jacket is advisable.
