Before the weather gets too cold, before the daylight gets shorter, let’s enjoy the sun and beach at Shelly Beach in Manly for an Aussie barbie (bbq). Bring your own meat and favourite beverage, and travel stories. Bring your hosts or hostel mates and introduce them to CS. Don’t bring alcoholic drinks because it’s not permitted on the beach. Getting there: take the ferry from Wharf 3 at Circular Quay. Ferries depart every 15 minutes. The ferry ride is about 22 minutes. And then take a 20 minutes coastal walk from Manly Wharf to Shelly Beach. You know that you’re at the correct beach when you arrive at the Boathouse Cafe.
