Join Us for a Traditional Shabbat Dinner – in Our Home We are a Jewish couple living in Holon (Tel Aviv District), and every Friday evening we host a warm, simple, and authentic Shabbat dinner. Our table is kosher, our home is modest, and the experience is real—not a performance or tourist attraction. If you're curious about Jewish traditions, coming from another culture, or simply looking for a unique and meaningful Friday night—this could be a wonderful opportunity to share a meal, stories, and good company. We have limited space and can host a few guests each week. If you're respectful, open-minded, and genuinely interested in joining, we’d love to hear from you. Important to Know – Please Read Carefully This is our private home, not a restaurant or public event. For this reason, there are a few rules and expectations you must agree to before we confirm your visit: 🌸 Contact us first – Please don’t just mark yourself as “going” or comment. You must send us a message introducing yourself and explaining why you'd like to join. To show you’ve read this, include the word cherry in your message. 🍷 Respect our Shabbat – No phones or pictures at the table. Shabbat is a sacred time for us. 💬 We need to get to know you – If you are not communicative or don’t respond clearly, we can’t host you. 🍽 Dinner is NOT vegan/vegetarian-friendly – If you have dietary restrictions, you must inform us at least 3 days in advance, and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate. 📍 Location – Holon (near Tel Aviv, but not in the center). Public transport ends early, so plan accordingly. 📅 Confirm at least 48 hours in advance – No last-minute guests. We prepare food specifically for the people who confirm. Saying “maybe” is not an option. 💰 Donation – We invest a lot of time, effort, and money (~100–150 shekels per guest). Men: Please avoid shorts and open shirts. 👶 Children – Sorry, only kids aged 6 and up can join. 🧠 Mental/physical safety – If you have a condition or history (physical, mental, or criminal) that could put you or others at risk, you must inform us in advance. ✡️ Any background welcome – You don’t have to be Jewish. You do have to be respectful of Jewish traditions and our hospitality. ** We are not your 2nd option, we aimint to have guests who want to join and participate for the right reasons, and not just a placeholder or a logistic solution ** Final Note This is not an event—it’s an invitation to share something meaningful with us.
