I am originally from Burundi 🇧🇮 and I am currently doing my Master’s degree in Psychology of Well-being and Performance in Italy. Her entrepreneurial spirit is evident in the establishment of Umushinge, a women-led startup producing eco-friendly bricks, offering a sustainable solution to deforestation. Creativity has been a constant companion throughout Audrey's life. She has expressed herself through music, writing, and games, using these outlets to communicate important messages. Her ability to think outside the box has been instrumental in her various roles and initiatives. Audrey is also a proud YALI Alumni from Cohort 57, further enhancing her commitment to leadership and community development. Her dedication to creating a better world is exemplified by her involvement in advisory committees and youth panels, as well as her recognition for her work in addressing gender-based violence. For example, the roundtable on climate solutions, organized by Umushinge on August 9, 2024, showcases her ability to bring together diverse stakeholders and drive actionable solutions. Audrey has also been accredited to participate in COP 29 in Baku. With a powerful combination of passion, intelligence, and creativity, Audrey Habonimana inspires others to join her in building a more equitable and sustainable future.
