Always an idealist I used to have Europe dream when i was a teenager, it took me to Balkan and some EU countries for 3 times, I was there every summer and had a lot of couchsurfing and hitchhiking journey there, it’s my bravest& happiest time ever! 2024 I finished 7 months journey in Middle East coz I was in a hard page of life, it was such an adventure!! About Me Hi there! My name is Chiang. I am Taiwanese and was born and raised in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan. I also lived in Taichung for about six years while studying. I currently work remotely for a Hong Kong company and divide my time between Taipei and Taichung. Since my work schedule is relatively flexible, I may sometimes be available to show visitors around the city. After several years of Couchsurfing experience, I have come to feel that meeting people can sometimes be a little like playing the lottery—you never truly know what the experience will be like until you meet in person. I would never claim to be a 100% good or perfect person, because I do not think anyone can be. However, I believe it is important to keep trying to be kind, respectful, and open-minded, and that is what I try to do. I consider myself friendly, easygoing, and open-minded, with a good sense of humor. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, exchanging stories, and discovering different perspectives on life. I previously lived and worked in Hong Kong for one year as a structural engineer. If you are interested in structural engineering, building design, or Hong Kong culture, I would be happy to share some of my experiences. My home in Taipei is not currently available for hosting Couchsurfers, so unfortunately I cannot offer accommodation there. However, if you are planning to visit Taipei, you are welcome to contact me in advance. If my schedule allows, I may be able to show you around the city, have a meal together, or simply meet for a chat. In Taichung, I have a small apartment that I occasionally use when I travel there for work. You are welcome to try your luck and contact me at least two weeks before your planned arrival. If I already have plans to be in Taichung during that period, I may be able to host you. I understand that writing a completely new and personalized hosting request can be time-consuming, so you do not need to prepare an entirely different message just for me.
