** currently NOT available to host or meet !!! ** - Love visiting beautiful scenery, historic sites, and small villages. - An introvert, but not the super quiet type—I can be quite talkative when discussing topics I'm passionate about. I'd love to share my experiences and thoughts. - Recently quit my job and planning to travel for two months. considering what's next in my life. - Hobbies: reading, writing, walking, watching series, and learning languages on Duolingo. I joined CS when I was university student, I had some great experiences as a host and guest. Now I want to see if it is still nice.
I'm Jarrod^^ 제로드라고 합니다~ I'm originally from South Africa but have been living in Korea since 2019! I majored in Maths and Physics from the University of Cape Town and had been teaching English in Korea full time. Recently I became a freelancer, including teaching at schools part time, private lessons and translation work. My goals in life are to travel to as many places as possible, far and wide, and meet as many different people as possible - I find this world vast and fascinating^^ I also wanna learn as many languages as possible - at least to a basic level :)) Currently I speak English, Afrikaans and Korean, but have learnt the basics of others like Turkish, Arabic, and Hindi. *IMPORTANT: I'm not using CS to save money on accommodation - I genuinely want to explore a city or country like a local and meet amazing people. CS allows me to do that (and yes, of course I can save money too lol) So I'm looking for hosts who are serious about meeting travelers :))

Hi! I’m Minjae, from South Korea. I love traveling, and starting in December 2026, I’ll be setting off on a 6-month backpacking trip across Europe, Southeast Asia, and beyond. This trip is more than just travel for me — my goal is to one day open my own cocktail bar in Seoul, so I’m using this time to experience whisky and cocktail culture firsthand. I also love visiting historic universities and film locations along the way. I’d rather have genuine conversations than check off tourist spots — learning how people actually live, cooking together, or sharing a drink and swapping stories. That’s what makes travel meaningful to me. Someday I hope to be the host — welcoming you in Seoul and inviting you to the bar I’ve opened. Until then, I’m looking forward to meeting people along the way and sharing our cultures with each other!
First of all, read 'My Home'. If you send a copied request, I will decline it. I hope you read it. --------------------------------------------------------------- Hiya. You can call me Mark. I live in Daegu, South Korea. If you don't have any space to stay, ask me. (I recently moved to Daegu again. So reviews on my profile could be wrong: like description or location of my house) I lived in Manchester for almost a year. I forget some of the words, but no problem to communicate. The room which I recently moved to is quite small. Korean people call this room to 'One room'. If you don't mind, I can host you. If you want more details, contact me. ※I only accept who has a reference or is verified.
