Holaaa Couchsurfing friendz! Quick bio fyi - Italian born and raised, I left the litle village in Northern Italy where I grew up as a 19yo, and spent my twenties living abroad in London and San Diego, California until I landed back on Italian soil and 5 years ago I’ve settled down in the magical island of Sicily! I’m a lover of all things green, fresh food, good stretches, anything adventurous, the unknown, anything mind-blowing, the ordinary, never not going with the flow ✨
Hi, I'm Roberto — an entrepreneur with an artistic soul (I play guitar and had a band for 10 years). I'm a mix of ideas and passion for the stories my guests share with me (all packed into just 170 cm :D ) Maybe your story will be the next one I get to hear. WHY I'M ON COUCHSURFING Hosting for me is not just about offering a place to sleep — it’s about sharing moments, discovering perspectives, and creating real human connection. I enjoy getting to know people from all over the world, especially when the conversation flows and we lose track of time. I host when I feel like it and when the vibe seems right. If you're independent, open, and easy to be around, we'll probably get along great. MY HOME I live in a cozy flat near the center of Palermo (Corso Calatafimi), well connected and easy to reach. The area is safe, quiet at night, and close to local spots and public transport. The space is simple and lived-in — this is not a hotel, but a real home. The sleeping arrangement is shared, which means we’ll be in the same environment (usually my room, if I have some spate rooms I can let you know). I provide a clean mattress, blankets, and a warm atmosphere. I care about respect and presence — no one is here just to crash. If you're looking for a dry, transactional place, this probably isn’t the right match. But if you enjoy conversations, music, good energy, and you're open to living a small slice of real life in Palermo... then welcome 😊 I host when I feel a good vibe from your message — so tell me something about yourself, your journey, or even something a bit unusual. It helps me understand who you are. WHAT I CAN SHARE WITH GUESTS I can share my space, time, and good company — when we both feel like it. I love to talk, play music, and hear about the stories that brought you here. Depending on our rhythm and mood, we can have a coffee, go for a walk, play guitar, or simply chill. I can also help you get around Palermo — I know the city well, and I’m happy to share some honest tips (beyond the tourist stuff). That said, I also respect personal space. You're free to do your thing and enjoy the city at your own pace. No pressure, just presence. I really appreciate it when guests give me a hand with little things — like cleaning up after themselves or sharing the cost of groceries if we cook or eat together. It makes everything feel more balanced and natural. If you read everything please use the hashtag in you request. #ireadyourbio

*** Hi there CS travelers! I'm currently on the road, so I'm not available to host or meet up. However feel free to drop me a line if you need suggestions or recommendations. I'll try and help you from a distance 🤗 *** CURRENT MISSION Travelling, learning, discovering and empowering! After seven years of working a 9 to 5 job, I've quit to spend some time dedicating myself to my (too many 😅) interests and passions. Why waiting for retirement? The place is here and the time is now! ABOUT ME I was born and raised in Palermo, pretty much spot on in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. Before leaving it when I was 23, this amazing city had filled me up with dynamism, multiculturalism, curiosity, beauty and a taste for seriously good food. I started traveling with my family since I was too young to even remember, and I have never stopped doing so. I try to make the most out of every trip, and prefer to go somewhere I've never been before. I'm very skeptical when I hear someone saying about a place that "there is nothing to see". I'm a firm believer there's beauty and interesting stuff to discover everywhere, it's up to us to see it.
Please, read my profile description, above all if you are sending me a CS request. My place is not a hostel. Also, ask for not more than 2 days please. At the moment I'morganising the festival Handstand Extravaganza Convention 2025: https://handstandconvention.com/ What's the relationship you have with yourself? With your body? With your talkative mind? What makes you curious? Creative? Esplorative? Out of the crowd? What's the impact of expectations in your life? The real risk is to state oneself. Living in a world which leads us to be afraid of expressing, to be scared of judgement, to feel wrong when we are alone, to be afraid of failing, is very challenging. And I find myself into a path of questioning what feels good to me and in me. And I've realised how difficult it is to be faithful to the deepest true self. You know why? Because the most difficult and hardest thing is to reach that feeling which lies in the depth of your real self, under unecessary and diruptive layers. Do you ever wonder what is it "normal"? And also how many realities do you think exist? Is my reality the "correct" one? And is it better than yours? ...make some steps back and let's start to see the big picture... One of my biggest passions is the art of andbalance. Which I see to be not only a physical and aesthetic expression of beauty and elegance, but it's lots of a mindful process of knowing yourself, being with yourself and grounding (on your hands :P ). It takes a long time to master this skill and you spend so much time with yourself, facing so many emotions, including frustration, sadness, hunger, but also joy, happiness, satisfaction. The handstand journey has heaps of ups and downs and it's a great teacher itself. Sometimes we forget to enjoy the beauty of any single step which makes the journey towards our goal. I teach handstands and help my students to be more aware of their body and to face their own fears. I love intimacy. That intimacy that brings two people to connect in depth, to create a connection of trust and authentic relationship, whatever it be. I'm incredibly scared, but extremely attracted, by the unknown. Because opening the doors to the unknown is the only way to allow the new to get in. I know... it's scary, and I'm still trying to push myself out there. When I was hitchhiking in Europe I have decided to have a faith that I always want to bring with me: "The right lift will always arrive".
