I get along with everyone and treat others the way I like to be treated. I like to party and go to concerts.

CURRENT MISSION to get to every country in the world. But just a few more will be ok! To sing Delilah at Mauerpark in Berlin on the karaoke. To see the Northern lights. To dive below the ice in Antarctica. To go to Kazakstan with a mankini. To create a catch phrase. STOP PRESS- I did the mankini! One down- three to go! (If you're observant and intelligent you'll realise how that's an example of my lack of education!) STOP PRESS 2! 2025 is going to be a big year for me getting in as many trips as I can. So don't feel too rejected if I can't host. And when I am around I'll be working a lot to fund it! STOP PRESS 3! I got to see the northern lights! Not the best example but most the best examples we see online are heavily edited anyway so fuck it. STOP PRESS 4! I no longer wish to go to every country- what a stupid idea! ABOUT ME CONGRATULATIONS! You've got further than London, Bath, Oxford and Edinburgh and are a real traveler! So, now you've got this far it's time to be really obscure and visit the wonderful land of Bolton where I live. Don't panic- it's really easy to get from Bolton to the centre of Manchester- often quicker than staying in the suburbs of Manchester itself. If you're addicted to white/ beige/ magnolia or gentle, tasteful interior decor of any description... this is NOT the house for you. If you are a minimalist or if you are overwhelmed by clutter, colour and intensity... you had better run for your life right now. I'm easy going- a wannabe jester with a cunningly concealed heart of gold. (That will give your google translators a challenge!) My (typically British?) sense of humour is naturally a bit sarcastic and dark so over-sensitive people might be confused but don't worry- I'm usually gentle with strangers! I can always find some common conversation ground when I meet people and I'm quite happy to talk nonsense anyway. I would say open minded and adventurous are my middle names and I've yet to encounter anything that shocks me into submission. American sitcoms nearly do it though. I like taking photos and making videos and practising my face painting and playing cards and connect 4 so that could be something to do during one of those rare English rainy days. ( Hint for newcomers- that was sarcasm) I'm a drummer but play guitar and have a beaut 12 string that guests can have a tinkle on. I like making cool or idiotic movies and have a You Tube channel: misterparsnip57. If you watch the cookery demo and the caffeine shampoo it will give a pretty good idea of my stupid sense of humour. Sometimes I can hang out, sometimes not, it depends on work so an ideal guest would be happy to explore alone if I'm tied up. If I'm literally tied up when you get home remember it's 999 in this country not 911. If you get home and the place looks like it's been burgled don't ring 999- it quite often looks like that. If you get home and I'm lay on the floor dead just give me a beer- it usually works. And.... please make sure you read the MY HOME INFORMATION PHILOSOPHY to try anything new. Basically I'm a Yes man which has not always ended up like it did in the movie.... I think we should live our lives with passion, try to make the world a better place in some way but not take it too seriously. After all, it's just a game and a short one at that and the planet will really be better off when we're all extinct and the ants have their turn.

Hello all! I live in Manchester... work as a design engineer and project manager. Always reading a book, write a lot, love all things cinema and theatre… have been known to spend maybe too long in the sauna and steam room. The first thing I like to do when I get to a new place is walk. Walk around for hours just looking at the streets, the people, and the lives unfolding in front of me and capture some photography with that novel interest... and hopefully have a few conversations!

Hello fellow travelers and welcome to our home 🌴 The time has come and I am finally able to host and repay for the generosity I have received using this app while couch surfing myself! I live in a very nice area in Manchester with my best friend. We both are creative and 'spiritual' people. Our place is easily accessible to the city center and not too far from Manchester Airport. My friend is a musician and has many instruments, anyone wanting would be very welcomed to have a jam with him as he loves to connect through music. As for me, I love things that involve working with my own hands such as playing with fire to make jewelry, sewing, photography, massage. I have many ideas and hobbies which makes it sometimes hard to decide what to choose. I have a calling to travel and learn through experiencing different things, I am currently working on making it a reality. I like learning the new, having deep conversations. I also have a passion for mental heath, somatic practices, shadow work and healing. In addition, I love dancing. I usually do yoga every day and I am practising being a fruitarian. I absolutely love mangoes and horses ✨

Am in my late 40s and definitely not as grown up as I should be. But what does that even mean? Living my life the way I choose to. born quite some time ago .. learned to talk .. learned to walk (in that order) .. learned to read (and write .. and count) .. finished school .. moved out from home .. finished uni .. got a job .. moved to the country .. moved to the city .. still in the same city (of choice) and enjoyed most of it. PHILOSOPHY Live and let live ... treat others with respect and you'll earn respect, saying that, everybody deserves respect, or not? ... hope everybody can live a happy life ... try to do my bit.
