CURRENT MISSION Finding out how Couchsurfing works with the new app and website ABOUT ME I'm 69, male, from Germany but have also lived in the UK and Thailand I enjoy travelling,meeting new people in foreign countries and learning about their culture. I like outdoor activities and being in nature, I do a lot of hiking, particularly in mountain areas, but also in other regions. I cycle quite a bit, mostly in Berlin. I like listening to music, going to concerts and also playing on a drum.

ABOUT ME My recent story: a few years ago, with my university degree (in physics) secured, I felt the need to experience something different from the sometimes very serious environment of the theoretical physics community. After some deep thinking (is 2 months considered long?), I decided to take a gap year to travel and learn languages, two things I had always enjoyed and that had always given me the opportunity to meet people from different horizons. I needed fresh ideas!I first traveled 3 months in Argentina, and then I stayed 6 months in Berlin. I loved the experience so much, that I kept traveling ever since. At the moment I live in Granada, Spain. I'm still looking for an apartment and hopefully I'll be able to host people in the near future.

I'm currently staying 6-8 months in Berlin Germany rest traveling 🌎. For me life means sailing boat ⛵, No one knows about their future ofcourse including me too ;D so keep laughing, be happy,be honest with myself and others, respect everyone including the beautiful nature, staying positive and healthy, helping other people and make other people laugh and happy be kind to every living and non living both . That is the definition of the EnjoymenT in my book of dictionary.😊😁😉😂 I love cooking , sports and travelling but my friends told me I should add another hobby which is talking 😂😂 We are all connected to each other and live on the same beautiful planet, so why do we live separete? There is no time that we know of other than this time right here and through various mindful practices, I have come to realize that the beauty and successes we always seem to be running after stay right here with us all along. I believe in the power of will, in the power of belief, because I know I am the maker of my world and I also know that belief leads to hope, which leads to action, which leads to the opportunity for success. I haven't seen proof to tell me otherwise so far. I believe in the value of a well-rounded worldview and in multiplicity with whatever one decides to pursue. In order to serve the world, I cannot imagine not forming my decisions and understandings on a diverse assortment of perspectives and opinions. In the conflict resolution field, it is one of the more essential qualifications for any participants, but I have taken this characteristic and deemed it important enough to always maintain in my own life, no matter where I may end up. Finally, above all other things, I believe in love. It is what keeps me going through the thick and thin, and it is, in my opinion, one of the greatest beauties we can ever hold. People sometimes think me foolish for being such a romantic, but then again, I think I've been doing alright in the meantime. After all, there are worse motivators in this world.
