UPDATE: Now that I am living in Germany, i want to explore more about my new home. But I still very much wanted to travel and discover new countries and revisit some countries :) CURRENT MISSION i want to see and be with the world!!! ABOUT ME i love to travel. see places. immerse with culture. learn a lot from them. experience things. Actually travelling is one my inspirations when i work. It motivates me. I may not be the friendliest person in the world though, im actually a bit shy at first (though im working on it) but once you get know me, you will know you are in a good company. Im an opinionated (who isnt?) but accepting person in the sense that i listen and respect other people's opinion and belief. I am humbled by a lot of things. We are never too big in this life. I kinda have this fear that im running out of time to do things in my bucket list. So im trying to do whatever i can whenever i can. My mantra now is 'i will do it. I will live my life!' PHILOSOPHY Its a cliche but life is really short. Go to that place you've been daydreaming about. Wear that killer heels. Flaunt ur assets. Take that dance course. Learn a new language. You may not be here tomorrow to do that. (im still trying to live with this philosophy, its a bit hard but i will overcome all obstacles). Deal with your fears. I am becoming succesful wih this one. The world is not made just for me. Respect. We are all interconnected. Lets celebrate it.
CURRENT MISSION UNTERWEGS ZUHAUSE (feeling at home by travelling) ABOUT ME Sometimes I like to leave the COMFORT ZONE, which is my usual behavioural state within which I operate in an anxiety-neutral condition, using a limited set of behaviours to deliver a steady level of performance, usually without a sense of risk. (after: White 2009) In my life there is a certain relation to chaos. PHILOSOPHY "The mind is like a parachute; it works much better when it's open." and also: Do not look away

Hi everyone :) My name is Marius. I'm an engineering student from Aachen, Germany. I study what I do to be able to one day contribute to solving the climate crisis. In my free time, I love traveling and meeting new people, that's why I like Couchsurf. In other news I tinker a lot: I like programming, building machines and other DIY stuff. I also love learning languages, I'm fluent in German (native), English and French and am learning Arabic currently. RIGHT NOW I'm going to Santander with a few friends to spend a few nights before going to Burgos to see the total solar eclipse :) Looking forward to meet you, until then! My LinkedIn as proof that I'm genuine: https://www.linkedin.com/in/marius-neuhalfen/
CURRENT MISSION Trying to know the world, before conquering it. ABOUT ME Do I really have to describe myself ? There is so much to tell about me, except the fact that I am taller than most people. Well, let's say that I try everything that seems new to me, I don't really like the routine-way of life.
I'm an openminded and curious person, who is interested in different cultures, food, music, history and lifestyles. I like dancing (Zumba), chilling (well and working) in my garden, reading, going out for a drink or theater, concerts...
I love to have international contacts, I love to host guests and I love to cook. I work with people with mental disabilities and learn a lot from them daily. For example: the most important thing in human life is having people around us who are kind, trustworthy and truly interested. People who will laugh and cry with us. ' Ein Tag nicht gelacht, ist ein Tag nicht gelebt.'
Hey, I'm Justus! 👋🏻 I moved to Aachen for my studies and have been living here for several years now. I work as an architect in a small office and am interested in getting to know new countries and cultures. I'm always happy to meet new people, have some nice conversations and show each other around. 😊
I like kohlrabi, laryngeal swelling at 4am, Lok Lak, Jeet Kune Do, juggling, sneezing, beats, beads, flatulating in familiar company and chives. Ajo, if someone spins me, I have to spin back, otherwise I'm confused.
Instagram: carstos_ From my point of view, my personality fits to my job: I am a (local) journalist and prefer to ask questions that go below the smalltalk-level. Furthermore, i am humorous - my friends in school actually have invented "C-Points" for the worst jokes. I am a non-smoker, help- and respectful. In my hometown Aachen in western Germany I often host exchange students who need a couch to organise themselves and to look for an apartment. This actually granted me a 3 weeks trip to Algeria - because my guest became a very good friend after 3 days at my place. Or a 3 weeks trip to Vietnam with a Serbian fellow.
CURRENT MISSION: Loading…. Always in, to meet other krazy travelers and backpackers. More people = more fun. One long-term mission on my bucket list: visiting at least 100 countries. Current progress: 82 UN countries + 8 non-UN territories, so yes… I’m getting dangerously close. Insta: @krazymarkus
