I am a quiet but fun loving person. I believe that we all have things to teach and learn. I love meeting new people and just learning and sharing. I also love languages and learning or trying to understand different languages and dialects.

Why does a question about yourself often seem the most challenging to answer? But here's a shot... Because of the socio-global challenges faced by the LGBTTTIQ+ community, I like to know that I am an openly gay man who is comfortable and proud of who he is if only to be seen as a gay man or, more respectfully, as just another human being. It's no intention of mine to make anyone uncomfortable, though there are moments that I/we may come across someone who is not comfortable around persons who are not of their orientation, so I prefer it known so you can either feel comfortable in my space or communicate with me. Outside of this, I have experienced so much in life within my three decades that my expectations are low, and I am open to simply enjoying whatever else there is to be experienced or witnessed. Life has so many glories; why not just allow yourself to embrace what happens there and then without expectation? My simple pleasures of life are spent being with my family and friends, watching (repeated) series versus movies, banging out to some pop, soca, reggeaton and rock music, and indulging in my guilty pleasure of karaoke—either solo or with whoever wants to join along. There is one thing about me, though... I often come across as an introvert - and there is some truth to it; I am. Once I feel comfortable, the small extroverted side of me emerges, and I'll sometimes yap away :-D

I'm not the same wild, crazy person I used to be but despite growing up a tad bit I'd say I'm still lots of fun, easy to talk to and very outgoing. I've got vast range of interests and always willing to learn something new so bring whatever you have o the table and I am sure we can get along.

CURRENT MISSION Hello, my name is Petal. I am a warm and friendly individual from Guyana. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures and hearing stories over coffee or a meal. I live and work in Guyana. I can host when I am not out of town. My work includes work for gender justice and human rights including LGBTIQ+ equality.
