I grew up here in Amarillo Texas. After High School, I joined the US Air Force and served 7 years in Mississippi and Alaska. After separating from the USAF, I stayed and lived in Alaska for 25 years. While in AK I started and ran a business in Medical Device Sales. Alaska provided lots of adventures and stories. When I deciding to move back to Texas, I first took several years and traveled. During that time I walked the El Camino Pilgrimage with my then 25 year old daughter. We walked 150 miles / 240 km from Porto Portugal to Santiago Spain. After Spain I traveled solo in Europe, Russia and China and Couchsurfing was a great support and experience. Now I'd like to give back by hosting other world travelers. I look forward to meeting you.

I guess at some point I logged out of this app and since I never check my email I completely forgot about hosting for awhile until Eric asked if we had had any requests lately. Life on our end has been hectic to say the least but we are definitely enjoying the ride. Hello World! Just a nice, kind couple extending the hand of Texas hospitality. We work a lot! So if you happen to stop by please don't take offense if we leave you alone. If we are off we would love to hang out with you! We really are the type that just rolls with whatever comes our way. We are big coffee drinkers and tend to get up early to enjoy some time together in the mornings. I (Ester Marie) am loud by American, Texan, Mexican standards and hope you dont mind me in the mornings talking626 loudly or listening to music. Eric is calm and never wants to wake anyone up so is constantly shushing me which in turn is also loud, lol. We have five dogs! I know a lot but they are all rescues we couldn’t help but fall in love. Yes they want to sniff and jump on you but if you tell them no they will stop. If you love animals they will love you just as much. They sort of listen to our commands but they want to get to know you as much as we want to get to know you. We also have a cat named Charlie. He comes and goes as he pleases. If you have allergies our home is probably not the best for you. If you 98don't mind the furry babies then welcome. A couple of house rules but they really aren't hard to follow and are only in place so we both have the best experience. I also put them out there so we both know where we stand. I really really really prefer non smokers. I'm sorry but the smell of a heavy smoker can really make me sick. I dont mind people who vape but only outside. I have chairs out in the back and you are welcome to go out there and vape til your hearts content. Shoes! If you can please take your shoes off. We step in a lot of things through out the day and id rather it not be brought in. You can take your shoes off at the door and take them to the laminated floor. If you forget no worries I won't freak out but my heart will break a little. 31Our fur babies can run around as much as they please but if we tuck in before you all we ask is that you make sure they are not in the living room when you retire. Last one...if you are coming in late please just let us know. We dont mind late surfers but communication is a must. Just please keep in mind we set many alarms to go to work and sometimes ignore those so we fear that a very late couch surfer knocking will also go unheard. Again if you keep us posted we are very flexible. With that being said we set multiple alarms and they do get annoying. So so sorry in advance. Horrible rules I know!
