Hello! 👋 My name is Ismaël. I’m a professional sommelier with a deep passion for gastronomy, culture and meaningful encounters. I’ve spent most of my adult life working in wine and hospitality, so taking care of people is naturally a big part of who I am. I live near Lorient in beautiful Brittany and enjoy welcoming travellers from all over the world. Whether you’re a solo traveller on a long journey or just escaping the city for a few days, I like my place to feel like a peaceful base where you can slow down, relax and recharge between adventures. My approach to hosting is inspired by Breton and Tunisian traditions: I value cleanliness, comfort and a calm atmosphere, and I pay attention to the small details that make guests feel at ease. I love cooking simple, seasonal food, pairing it with good wine, and taking the time to enjoy unhurried evenings at home. I’m talkative and curious, happy to discuss culture, history, music, politics or everyday life – but I also understand that many travellers just need silence and rest. I try to adapt to each person’s rhythm so that you can enjoy your own way of travelling while still feeling genuinely welcomed and looked after in Brittany.
