I’m Mariel, a longtime Couchsurfing enthusiast and one of the pioneers of the community. This is my family. For the past 10 years, my husband and I have been traveling the world, and we’ve now visited 60 countries, always looking for real connections, different cultures, nature, and deep conversations. We both work remotely, which allows us to combine work and travel. We prefer taking the local paths rather than following the typical tourist routes. For the past two years, though, we’ve been living a more settled and peaceful life in Merlo, San Luis, surrounded by mountains and streams. We still love traveling and discovering new places, but we’ve also learned to appreciate having a home and a slower pace of life. Since we work online and spend quite a bit of time at home, we especially enjoy hosting travelers who are passing through and genuinely excited to explore Merlo and the surrounding area. We’re happy to share our home and our local knowledge with people who are curious, independent, and eager to get out and experience the place.

Somos Romi y Esteban :) Nuevamente decidimos hacer un cambio de vida y ahora vivimos en un pueblo (Los Molles) en la hermosísima provincia de San Luis. Acá se puede hacer trekking e ir al río. Es un precioso lugar para estar en contacto con la naturaleza 🍄‍🟫 Viajando nos hicimos de grandes amistades x CS, es por ello que queremos seguir recibiendo viajerxs y compartiendo experiencias. Amamos cocinar, leer, escuchar música, viajar, practicar yoga, entre otras cositas. Nos encanta cocinar y si es para compartir con otros ¡mucho mejor! Así que si estás dispuestx a preparar algo típico de tu país/provincia vamos a estar encantadxs :) Vivimos en una casa, la cual nos gusta mantener limpia y ordenada. Valoramos mucho el respeto en esos aspectos para hacer más amigable la convivencia. CURRENT MISSION Mi compañera de vida y de viaje es mi esposa Mariel, que también tiene perfil aquí (http://couchsurfing.com/people/maolivera) y, de hecho, nos conocimos en un evento de esta hermosa red en Buenos Aires hace ya más de 11 años. Juntos viajamos y trabajamos por el mundo desde el 2016: estuvimos 2 años en movimiento por Sudamérica y 2 por Europa, un año quietos por el COVID (como gran parte del mundo), un año viajando por Argentina en un auto que vendimos para seguir el nomadismo. En nuestro último viaje estuvimos recorriendo Asia por un año y medio, pero ya estamos de vuelta en Argentina, alojando viajeros en nuestra casa en Merlo, San Luis :) Por cierto, preferimos alojar a viajeros que también hayan alojado, ya que consideramos que es importante devolverle a la red lo que uno recibe. --- My life and travel partner is my wife Mariel, who also has a profile here (http://couchsurfing.com/people/maolivera) and, in fact, we met at an event of this beautiful network in Buenos Aires more than 9 years ago. Together we have been traveling and working around the world since 2016: we spent 2 years on the move in South America and 2 in Europe, a year still for COVID (like most of the world), a year traveling through Argentina in a car that we sold to continue our nomad life. On our last trip we were traveling through Asia for a year and a half, but we are now back in Argentina, with our own house where we are hosting travelers again :D By the way, we prefer to host travelers who also hosted before, as we consider it important to return at least part of what you receive in this network. Es evidente que me apasiona viajar y aprender de historia y de otras culturas siempre a través del contacto con la gente local, en ese sentido CS es ideal. Me encanta cocinar y comer y parte de la experiencia de viaje es experimentar la gastronomía local. Hola, soy Anamaría, una viajera de corazón. A los 18 años comencé a explorar el mundo y viví viajando 4 años por Brasil, Argentina, Bolivia y parte de Perú. En cada lugar, descubrí algo nuevo y único. Ahora a mis 59 años, después de criar a mis hijos en Merlo, San Luis, retomo esta pasión y me pongo en movimiento. Me gusta cocinar. Puedo colaborar con el Marketing y Publicidad y con la cocina si te solicito alojamiento en mi estadía. Amo la naturaleza, viajar y hacer amigos. Este año viví en Bariloche, viaje a Uruguay y Bs As.
